Unit Operation: Industrial Peanut Butter Manufacturing Machines
The peanut butter manufacturing process flows through several sequential steps by operating the following industrial peanut butter making machines:
Roasting and Cooling
Roasting and Cooling
Roasting Machine: Heats raw peanuts at 160°C to 180°C (using either batch roasters or continuous belt hot-air roasters) to develop the signature aroma, color, and flavor.
Cooling Conveyor: Uses powerful suction fans to rapidly cool the roasted peanuts in order to preserve natural oils and prevent overcooking.
Peeling and Sorting
Peeling and Sorting
Peeling/Blanching Machine: Gently rubs the peanuts together to break loose the outer skins, which are often used for animal feed.
Picking/Sorting Belt: Allows workers or optical sensors to remove bad kernels, bitter hearts, and foreign debris to maintain high food quality.

Grinding and Homogenization
Grinding and Homogenization
Coarse Grinder: Crushes the peanuts into an initial coarse paste.
Ultrafine/Colloid Mill: Processes the paste to a microscopic level to achieve a velvety texture for smooth peanut butter, or leaves it coarser for chunky varieties.
Mixing and Degassing
Mixing and Degassing
Mixing/Blending Tank: Integrates minor ingredients such as salt, sugar, honey, or hydrogenated vegetable oil (which acts as a stabilizer to prevent oil separation).
Vacuum Degassing Tank: Removes trapped air bubbles from the paste to extend shelf life and enhance color stability.
Packaging and Sterilization
Packaging and Sterilization
Filling and Sealing Machines: Dispenses the prepared paste into retail or commercial jars, hermetically seals them with foil or induction heat, and labels the finished goods. .
