How to choose the most appropriate conveyor

There are many types of conveyors, eg. Multi-Flexing Conveyor, Mesh Conveyor, Roller Conveyor and Belt Conveyor etc. How to choose the right conveyor has become a concern for buyers. Heshan transport division have done many years of research on this and summarized as following for your reference:

1. Simplification, be able to use less steps but make more operations, for both installation and operating.

2. Local Environment Consideration, the right decision to buy a conveyor should base on conditions as site area、route and materials.

3. Safety priority, strengthen safety standards is a necessary condition for market access, personal safety should be fully consider when choosing a conveyor, machine safety device has to be installed and used in accordance with state regulations, eg, tripping safety device, automatic safety device, isolation safety device, interlocking safety device, safety control, adjustable safety device, automatic adjustment device and two-hands control safety device etc, belt width should wider than 15cm, rotary speech faster than 9m/min with wheel gear, pulley and coupling firmly cover by shield. For large-scale assembly line, protection fence with height no shorter than 1.2m must be set when complex situation occurs in transmission.

The word “Flex” comes from “Multi-Flexing”, Heshan Brand Multi-Flexing conveyor is an automatic conveying system which is composed by Aluminum Alloy or SUS shaped beam, Elbow, Driven Unit and POM plastic chain plate. These multi flexing conveyor systems use plastic link in many configurations such as X45, X65, X85, X105 and X180 etc. The design of the link achieved the consequent of multi-layer, multi-angles and multi-curves, the width of conveyor can be minimize to 150mm in radius to save space, it use photoelectric sensor or mechanical stopper flexibly converge or diverting materials. Mesh Conveyor has two series: Modular plastic belt conveyor and Metal mesh Conveyor .The modular plastic belt conveyor is assembling with random length and width with the needs of users, it is the similar structure to Modular construction, which is capable for connecting and reconnect various modules. Module type plastic mesh belt conveyor is driven by sprocket, transport smoothly. Intelligentized module mesh conveyor is facilitate to restructure, it stretch all plastic hinge pin on the belt and assemble the injection molding belt to form interlock unit, saves maintains time and expenses.

Module plastic mesh belt has overcome the problems of pollution, the plastic material is conformed to the Hygiene standard of Hygiene Requirement for the Design of Mechanical Belt Conveyor Used in Meat and Poultry Processing (ANSI/NSF 3-A14159-3-2005). There are no pored or gaps, sources of pollution like blood or grease from pork, chicken/duck, fish or prawn are impermeable, the belt surface is also not absorbable to any liquid. Great chemical stability, will not damaged in hot water or cleaning liquid. It has many advantages like stability transportation, lower noise, simple structure, easy to maintain, less consumption and etc. Belt material can be PVC, PU, Teflon and Nylon etc, it can works in temperature from -30℃ to +60℃, has the advantage of resistance to oil, acids and alkali etc. Furthermore, belt conveyor also has the feature of large incline angle conveying, small radius turning and synchronous transmission etc. When choosing a conveyor, working environment and condition should be first concerned, e.g. work hours, work frequency, effective service life and methods for material supply and discharge etc. Secondly, need to consider about the convey route and material, e.g. angle, length, lifting height; dimension for straight line and curve line section, coefficient of friction and safe factor etc. Tertiary, consider about the nature of materials and capacity to convey, e.g. humidity, viscosity, material abrasion and friction factor, the final convey amount under even distribution circumstance and, when material flowing unevenly, consider to be able to calculate the basic capacity etc.
